From a field of several hundred artists, I was chosen to be an artist-in-residence for a 3 week stay during the Spring of 2015. During that time, I lived at the national park in a remote cabin where I explored the beauty, the expanse and the unique character of this magnificent park. My proposal was entitled "Rock/Sky Juxtaposition" where, through the medium of watercolor, I expressed the strength and grandeur of the monzogranite formations against the bold desert sky.
